Partners Announced
Partners were announced in the Christmas in July Stash Busting Swap. Unfortunately, my partner doesn't have a site that I can share with you, but I can tell you she knits and embroiders. After talking to her a bit, I have a few ideas of what I might make for this swap (so Karen, if you're reading this, don't continue)!
One thing she wanted was an oven mitt. I found this tutorial and liked the overall design (not to mention the fact that I adore the sushi fabric they used. In fact, I'm wearing a pair of pajama bottoms made from the same material). Along with a set of mitts, I think I would make something like a hotpad\potholder or a dishtowel (I think I even have blank kitchen towels stashed!) . She also likes totes and zippered bags (small ones for cosmetics, pencils, etc.) so I am contemplating using the Shopping Bag tutorial that I designed for The Sewing Republic. I might also whip up something for her sister and\or her mother, but I'm still up in the air as to what I might make for them. If I have enough stashed yardage, I'm dying to make the Birdie Sling. Otherwise, I might opt to make a cute clutch. [photo via SavvySeams]
