Psychedelic Rabbit?

With the "Oh Baby" swap finished and ready to send, it's time to start focusing on my next one - Pin Cushion Swap (Round 6)! Aside from learning that she loves pincushions too, I found out that she loves bright colors - especially jewel tones, she has a lot of very plain pins, and that she likes bunnies, elephants, camels, giraffes. Armed with all this information I decided to make this free rabbit pattern from Kwoozy

After rummaging through the fabric stash, I found a perfect fat quarter and set to work..

It's a bit psychedelic and resembles a guinea pig more than a rabbit, but overall it's pretty cute. I did add a domed white button for a tail (in hopes it looks more like a bunny).

Since my partner said that she didn't have a lot of interesting pins, I opted to make my first set of shrinky dink pins.

They were surprisingly easy to make and highly recommend giving this tutorial a try!

I'm making a ladybug which I thought would be pretty thoughtless. It is turning out to be pretty tricky.

I tried making shrinky dink pins a while back but the pins did not seem very secure in the plastic. Any hints?

OOOH Stacy I love it! I wish you were my partner! So cute, and the carrots are fantastic. I finished mine today and the pics are on my blog.

Thanks for the link to the pattern for the bunny, I think I have an easter egg stamp that would make cute pins :-)
