In A Box
Quite awhile ago I participated in a swap called "_____ in a box". The idea behind this was that you provided your partner with a number of themes, she would select one and not only craft the items to go into the box, but the box itself. My poor partner got extremely sick during the swap and had to be hospitalized so she sent a bit late - and look what was in my mailbox!

She chose the "Evening Out" theme - inside my decoupaged box was the most beautiful sage knitted evening bag (with a pretty vintage button) filled with a nights accessories (flavored lip gloss, tissues, and mints for fresh, kissable breath!), matching fabric so I can whip myself up something fun (she knew I was a self-proclaimed fabric junkie), some wonderful smelling lotion, and a beaded, needlepoint bracelet. I can't wait to give some of these items a test run out!

I hope the partner is ok now. :)
If I only have more courage to participate in Swaps. I am always afraid my partners will not like what I would send :)..

I am not in any swaps but recently found surprises in my mail box every day for a few days!
A friend who had vacationed in Turkey last year sent me a folk doll she bought while there.
A recent house guest sent me a "thank you" of truffles and a colorful tea towel that matches my kitchen colors.
And my sis-in-law sent me a medicine sample she couldn't use but knows I do. haha.

Wow - and the good luck continues - my neighbor JUST brought us a home-made peach pie and a carton of vanlla ice cream as a "thank you" for some favors we did for her earlier this week. Yum!

And to top it off my Dog almost died! Crafting is what's holding me together! Ha ha.Seriously though, Life is getting better. One day at a time.
