Jacket 2
Well, there's not much to really say about this jacket since it's a carbon copy of the black minky version I made a few days ago (although it doesn't look like a gorilla costume this time!).

Now it's onto the sheep themselves. I'm on a countdown to Easter.... one week to go before these cuties have to be finished!
On a completely unrelated sewing note (although I suspect we'll see a pattern for this someday soon), I stumbled the Peekaru website. It's basically a vest designed for babywearing. While I'm sure it's a great idea (I tried the whole sling thing with Easton and he didn't want any part of it), I just can't get past the fact that this woman and her baby look an awful lot like George & Kuato from Total Recall.

I'm working on my sheep, too. I am making two (one for my mom and one for Aidan). I finished one coat and have sewn and cut out all the legs/body/head stuff. Now I just have to stuff and sew them together and make the other coat.
How do you do your zippers? I kind of winged it remembering an Amy Butler way with the stash and dash bags. I guess I'm such a novice that I need instructions with each pattern on how to do the zipper!

For these jackets I stitched the seam as directed then I based the open part of the jacket. I centered the zipper on the wrong side of the seam line, pinned and sewed in place. Then I removed the basting stitches and got a perfectly centered zipper without the puckers! I figured with the small seam allowance, this was probably a better way to go.

Oh wow! lol I'm trying to see the functionality in this thing, seeing as how i'm pregnant and all. But that thing just looks like a whole bunch of strangeness to me.

OMG This is too funny! I had one kid that loved the sling and another kid that really didn't like it. They're all different.
I love the way that your sheep came out. They are adorable. But after reading your efforts in making them, I'm not sure that I want to make them anymore. LOL
