Two Pairs

I hope you're not tired of seeing booties because I have two new pairs to show off:

I had started these earlier last week, but had the sole linings left to hand stitch. I finally finished them up while watching television last night. The first pair is a Halloween themed set using 2 fat quarters that I picked up at a local quilt shop. The second, is using a guitar (exterior) and keyboard (interior) prints that I received in a personal swap.

I've decided that after I finish up the Happy Stacker, I'm taking a break from making baby items - I'm burned out on them and am ready to start sewing up some clothes for myself. Although my body hasn't quite returned to it's pre-pregnancy shape, it's as close as it's going to be for awhile so it's time to build up the wardrobe with clothes for my new measurements. I haven't decided what to make first - anyone have any suggestions (i.e. what your favorite pattern)?

If I had had this blog to look at the last time I was pregnant, I never wouldn't have left the computer. So clever, so cute. I'm sure you are ready for a break. You've done a lot of great work!

Hi, Stacy! I do understand how you could be burned out of baby stuff. I have been looking at patterns for fall since it is getting very cool very quickly here in Vermont. I just picked up New Look 6406. I am also looking at New Look 6677 and 6704. I would love to make a long sleeved shirtdress with 6704. Also seeing what I can add long sleeves to in my pattern stash. At least the drapey look is still in for fall!

Ahh, sweet little booties! I have no suggestions as to what to sew for yourself. Something fast for instant gratification is my vote. :-D

The booties are too cute!

I too am on a Mommy sewing kick right now. Sewing school clothes for the wee ones took a lot out of me.

Have been looking at New Look patterns 6785 (top B-loving the neck line, can you see this in a charcoal with tights & boots or leggings and flats?), 6621, and 6647 (top B with a great pair of jeans)!

On another note, I'm Monica (one of the Bloggy Chicks) and I wanted to make sure that you knew that you are one of the winners for the Reversiable Bucket Hat from YouCanMakeThis.com! Please forward your e-mail so the pattern can be sent and look forward to working on some sewing projects with you!

Happy Sewing to All,
Monica
