A few weeks ago, I ordered a pattern - I thought I had purchased the new Jalie Sweetheart Neckline top (24794), but instead, I accidently ordered the Jalie Crossover Top (2449). While this is definitely one of my favorite patterns, I don't need two. So, I'm giving this one away. Today I managed to finish up one more top using my very favorite fabric - a neat RPL (rayon\poly\lycra) jersey from Wazoodle called Girls, Girls, Girls.

This time I used the Jalie crossover top but made the asymetrical hem at the bottom and used a contrasting, black RPL for the trim. I can't wait to wear this one with a pair of black gauchos and some wedge sandals! (I put the completed project photo under the Jalie Crossover Top sidebar.)

While I may have not sewn anything yesterday, I did get something accomplished today - the Jalie Crossover Top!

For quite awhile, I've been seeing reviews about Jalie 2449 on Pattern Review and finally broke down and ordered this pattern a few weeks ago. Wow, was this quick to make. I traced off the pattern (I made a size R), cut the fabric, and sewed the top in one day. I could have probably accomplished this easily in an afternoon if I didn't have so distractions & intruptions. Not only was it fast & easy, it fits so well. I can see how this gets made and reviewed over and over again! I can't wait to wear this top tomorrow!
