Possible Wadder & Sophia Progress

I had a big burst of energy the other day and spent some time in my sewing room. First, I fiddled with my Jalie twist top a bit. When I started this project, I went with my current bust size (which is much bigger than my pre-pregnancy chest), what I see happening with this top right now is that while it looks like it fits great in the front, the back is going to be too big (since the back has a 'cut out' part to it I'm not sure how I could salvage it). I'm putting this aside for a bit, but have a feeling this may be a wadder - I think I'm going to have to come back to this pattern once my body and bounced back from being pregnant.

So with that project put in a WIP pile, I decided to start sewing the Sophia! I managed to sew up the straps and attach them to the outer front panels (no piping yet) - I'm so happy with the way this bag is looking that I can't wait to get back into the sewing room to work on it!

For Sale

I've given up - sewing maternity clothing that is (well, the Jalie top is cut and ready to go, but that one doesn't count).... With 4 1/2 weeks to go until I deliver (let's hope I won't be overdue), I'm thinking that it's time to move on. Sadly, I had envisioned making a great maternity wardrobe, but between moving, lack of energy (ahhh, the joys of pregnancy), and other projects distracting me I only managed to make a few tops. Consequently, I have 3 patterns up for sale at Pattern Review (all are new and uncut) - Burda 8376, Burda 7999 (which appears to now be out of print, but is a hoodie & pants combo), and Vogue 2750.

Speaking of that Jalie top - I finally added it to the sidebar! I plan on working on this twist top a little today (before running off to Taylor's school for her spring party). What is everyone else working on this weekend?

Prints and Preggo Partners

I love having a stash of fabrics - it's like shopping, but without having to go anywhere! Last night I opened up the closet and looked for possibilities to use with the Jalie twist top and decided on a black and white mod print. Unfortunately, I didn't label where I got this jersey from but I'm pretty sure that it was Gorgeous Fabrics (if someone has this print please let me know!). I'll be adding the sidebar up sometime this afternoon with all the details.

In the mean time, partners were announced in the Oh Baby Newborn and Preggo swap! I have a bit of "stalking" to do with my partner, but since she has a website, wist, and great sign up information I've already got a few ideas rolling around in my head. Be prepared for some fun baby items in the next month!
