The Update

All I can say is that it's been a long (but good) day - my appointment was at 9 this morning and I didn't make it home until almost 2! So, here's the latest from the doctor: I'm currently 3 cm dilated, 70% effaced - I called myself a walking time bomb ready to deliver at any moment! We also discovered that I'm not having a huge baby (according to the ultrasound he's probably 7lbs. 5 oz.), but have lots of amniotic fluid (as my doctor says, if my water breaks, I'll know it because it's going to gush and my stomach will deflate!). Now I feel like I should be sleeping on rubber sheets. LOL.

I had a biophysical profile done which looked good for the most part except we couldn't get him to move because he was sleeping. Consequently, I was sent to the hospital for a non-stress test - which he passed with flying colors so I was sent home. I have an induction scheduled for Monday, but I don't think I'll be making it.... I've been having lots of contractions this afternoon. Hopefully, things will continue to progress and we'll have a baby update within the next day!

Wow - you are so close now. This time next week you'll be snuggling your little one. Enjoy these last moments of pregnancy where it is just you and him. So special. I will be anxious to hear how delivery goes and to see pictures of Easton and family!

Thanks for updating us. I checked several times today to see if there were any updates.

I, too, have been expecting each morning to open your blog and find that you have left us all a note on your way out the door and have been surprised each morning to find that you have just been "over there" day after day, still sewing away. It must be kind of nice to know in advance that you are going to lose a nice amount of weight in water alone! Good luck and may you get this done soon.
