Last Chance

Last month, I mentioned a survey that was available for you to take - if you haven't voiced your opinion, you still have one last chance to have your say in the sewing industry! Here's the link:

Sewing Survey

While you all are filling that out, I'm headed to the sewing room to start a few new projects. I probably should mention, I broke my 'no new fabric for February' rule already..... I stopped in to Joann's for some interfacing and spotted the cutest juvenile knit print and had to pick up some. I'm justifying it since 1) it's for baby and 2) I got under a yard cut (and for $4.37 you can't beat the price)! I plan on making another Kwik Sew romper with this one, but first, I need to trace a new size and pattern style. What are you making this weekend?

I've got a photoshoot for my Pendleton wool trousers and suit tomorrow, since our first attempt in the dark was, umm, not working. Then I've got about 4-5 Patrones patterns left to copy off from my borrowed October and December 2007 issues, and if I can finish those in the weekend I'll be happy, and if I actually get a chance to start on a muslin for the Jean Paul Gaultier skirt in the new issue then I'll be ecstatic!

And then there's the misc home dec pile that I've been neglecting in favour of the fun stuff and getting these Patronii back to their owner without a too embarrasing amount of time elapsed...

I am just shortening two pairs of slacks for myself. The wool will have to be done by hand and the knit by machine. I am hoping to wear the wool ones tomorrow.

I'm going to make the felt fortune cookies for friends and family for Valentine's Day. I just need to come up with some witty fortunes :o)

The mention of the felt fortune cookies reminded me about them. Maybe I'll make some, too! I plan to combine the directions from the site you linked plus the ones from this past Wednesday's Martha Stewart TV show. Martha's used wire and there is no actual sewing. But I like the idea of doubling the felt, too. A hybrid of the two designs might work really well.

The Ottobre puff sleeve tee and wide leg Capri's from the 2/07 Woman issue! If I can motorvate. :P I feel like shopping and going out for lunch instead, so we'll see!

I can't wait to see all the baby stuff you make! I love sewing for babies.
