Links On Saturday
Happy Saturday! I hope everyone is staying warm and enjoying their weekend. As for us, it's time to tackle the house and finally start hanging things (and get some grocery shopping in too)! So, here's a few fun links to tide you over for the weekend:
Winter hasn't left us yet, but it's already time to think about fall! Panatone released their color report for Fall '08 .
It's a good thing - Martha Steward had a segment on how to make Betz White's Felted Heart Scarf on her show the other day. This is a project from Betz's book, Warm Fuzzies, and is not just simple, but cute. You can also learn how to make her adorable teacup pincushions while you're visiting the site. Here's my version.
I have one of those mini ironing boards that I frequently use on small projects. I've had it for about 6 months and it's already looking rough! I suppose I'll have to make a new cover eventually - now U-Handbag shows you how (and it's so much cuter than the generic covers you get from the store).
Sewing terms make you confused? BeSewStylish has posted a great 'common terms' vocabulary list.
I love these bottlecap beads! [link via Craft]
If you have a little girl who loves to play dress up (or even fairy princess) then be sure to check out this tutorial for an (almost) no sew tutu!

I've always assumed one would be of limited use since there's no "drop off" from the table so things can hang free. But, if you find one handy, I hate to think I might be missing something wonderful! What "kind" of small things do you use it for?

I've been using mine for ironing on interfacings (collars, etc.), small seams (like purses, baby blanket, even some tops), piecing together 'quilting' squares, etc. I finally broke down and got one since I didn't want to have to lug our giant one downstairs when I decided to sew. I didn't think I would use it as much as what I have, but I'm glad I wound up purchasing one!
