Sewing Withdrawl
I believe I am suffering from some serious sewing withdrawl. I've been spending time surfing blogs and looking at everything everyone is making and I am beginning to feel the exploding urge to create something! Hopefully all this energy can be focused into getting some of the sewing room settled and unpacked so I can get to work! Of course, with all that surfing come lots of links - here's some of my favorites:
Justifying my stash just became a lot easier. I loved this article in yesterday's BeSewStylish blog on how to shop your stash.
It looks a bit complicated, but this new Plush Toy Design Software looks like it would be really fun to 'play with'. [link via Craft]
I can't wait for everyone to leave for work and school today - Sew Forth Now has a new podcast up on Sandra Betzina and I can't wait to hear it!
Still needing ideas for the holidays? Here's a few last minute gifts you can make:
Christmas peas - After reading this entry I now know how to make those felt balls too!
Burda Style has put together a collection of quick and easy Christmas gifts on their site. You can choose from slippers, scrunchy hair ties, bibs and fancy towels.
For the baker who loves plush a stuffed Bûche de Noël. I can honestly say that this is the most beautiful and pretty darn realistic food softie that I've seen so far. [link via Craft]
If you know a little girl who loves paper dolls (heck I'm a grown up and still like them), then be sure to print off Santa and Mrs. Claus - they are so cute! [link via Calamity Kim]
Too late to make gifts? Heres a few ideas for one of a kind goodies:
For the person who demands something designer - stockings created by fashion houses stuffed with their goodies. Bidding starts tonight and I can only imagine how much these pretties will go for. [link via Fab Sugar]
If you have a crafter in your life, then be sure to check out Adorn's hand-picked list of gifts to give. I love this Scissor top.
If you're needing some gift tags for your last minute holiday gifts here's two great options that you can do yourself: The first is a set of cute elf tags. The second is a set from Angry Chicken (personally I like these the best - they have hilarious sayings on each one).
