Happy Anniversary
It's hard to believe that 12 years ago today, Bret and I were married. I don't think that I've ever shared a photo from our wedding before, so here it is (I'll spare you the high school prom picture, though):
Obviously, I didn't make this dress (and I'm not sure that I would have ever made mine anyway, that's just way too much stress), but I fell in love with it the minute I saw it - too bad you can't see the princess shoes I'm wearing under it!

I just got married a month ago; I WAS crazy enough to make my dress--I couldn't imagine it any other way. For me, that was probably the LEAST stressful thing (my mom was WAY more stressed about it than me...but maybe that's because I didn't significantly start on it until a month before the wedding...)

Mine was super-simple (boring, really!)and made by a friend of my Mom's. So was my sis's bridesmaid dress - same pattern, different color.) I was in college and my Mom was working so we passed the stress onto someone else. Ha-ha. My mom did make me a long satin slip to help warm me because it was winter. The mom's of my other two bridesmaids made their dresses.
