Undoubtedly, most of you are probably wondering where today's post was (or if it was even going to happen??). Well, I blame the late post on one thing - Joann's.

You see, early this morning, I decided that I would head out to Joann's to pick up a few Burda patterns that I've been eyeing (and use more of my gift card, thus spreading birthday cheer across several months and not just one) before continuing on and doing the rest of my errands for the day. After arriving at my closest store, I browsed the fabrics, magazines, discount area, crafts, beads, etc before heading over to the pattern catalogs. That's when it happened - all the patterns I had wanted were gone (keep in mind that these are not new patterns that I had selected either!). After chucking my cart, I decided that I would head across town to see what another Joann's had to offer. Good thing I did too - they had all the patterns I wanted and some very nice gray interlock (on sale too)!

Sadly, this isn't the first time in about a week that I've gone from store to store searching for (apparently) hard to find items. Last week, I went to several Targets looking for $1 The Office novelties. Of course, when you're buying large quantities of strange 'themed' items like The Office office supplies you get a lot more stares from the checkout person than what you do when you load up on patterns. I just didn't have the energy to explain that I'm participating in an Office Swap and I plan on crafting items from the things I've purchased!
