Relaxation and Some Updates
After yesterday's parade, I pretty much parked myself on a couch and didn't do much other than watch movies, surf the internet and play around with the My Label Demo - I'll blame my lack of energy on jet lag! Although I didn't sew, I manage to do a couple of sewing related things during my lazy Saturday afternoon:
Thanks to Maria who suggested a magazine exchange, I received the latestOttobre Woman in the mail! I am so excited to make the cute top on the right even though temperatures are starting to cool off around here. I'm even going to try my hand at creating my own stencil to reproduce the reindeer motif that is seen on the picture on the right.
Secondly, I joined some swaps - it's been awhile since I've participated in some and I couldn't resist these two: The Christmas Stocking Swap (round 3) and, of course, I couldn't resist The Office Swap (round3). If you're a Craftster member and haven't tried swapping yet, I highly recommend either one of these. Hope to see you there!

I think Ottobre is a bit different than Burda - their styles aren't generally as trendy, but they have some good basic designs (I love the tee's in this issue) and seem to fit well no mater what your size or shape. Like Burda they seem to have a good fit and you'll have to still have to trace off the patterns like WOF too. Maybe some other people who have lots more experience with Ottobre Woman want to give their experiences too?

Hi Stacy,
When I follow your link to My Label all I get is a message on their website saying,
"Dear visitor,
The new 3D Pattern Making Software Website www.berninamylabel.com will go live for you November 30th 2007."
I don't see any link to a demo. As I'd love to play with the demo too :) , do you have a direct link?
Many thanks, Belinda

Leesa - OOOh, I hope you join! I did the same swap last year and loved it (I had a great partner too).
Belinda - if you click the "Free Download" button it should take you to the direct link. Or you can just cut and pate this link:

The demo is pretty limited, but it gave me a good idea on how the program will work. I'm so excited about this software, but I'm really going to have to save my pennies for it!

Hey Stacy! I know exactly what you mean about the jet lag, we just returned from Vegas and today I feel like a zombie!
I was in Target last night and I saw they had some "Office" items in their dollar bin. Maybe you could revamp them and use them in your swap.
