In The Mail
I know that Monday is generally looked at as being one of those dreadful days (going back to work, getting back into the grove, etc), but I always look forward to Monday because the mail is usually so kind. Yesterday was no exception....
My mailbox was jammed full of fantastic packages! First was my dichroic fused glass that I had won off of Ebay. I recently became fascinated with these 'gem' pieces when I made a trip to downtown Wichita and saw these in a local shop's jewelry case. Now I need to receive my jewelry bails so I can make a wearable piece.
My second package was my Wee Wonderful's Big Footed Bunny pattern. Taylor must be either getting too old for stuffed animals or I'm just rubbing off on her, but she's selected an unusual fabric combination for this cutie. Lastly, I did a personal swap with a fellow craftster. I swapped an eye pillow for fat quarters\fabric. Not only did she send a wonderful assortment, but a cute bag to boot!
I am almost finished with my Burda WOF track pants - I have the waistband left to construct and the hems to put in and then I should have a new spring pair! Hopefully, I will have a completed project up tomorrow! In the meantime, Taylor and I are off to paint some bisqueware!

I enjoy your blog so much! I read it every day when I get to work (and wish I could be at home sewing instead of here working!). I notice that you use a lot of patterns from Burda WOF and wondered if you were aware that they offer free downloads of patterns on their website. Some are really cute!--and FREE! I actually forgot about those - and the more recent ones seem to be different than what the magazine offers! Thanks.

I love the bunny pattern, I've been looking it at for a while now. I'm thinking of making some plushies of my own...though, so I'm holding out just yet ;) LOLOL
