Call To Duty

Well, no sewing today. Why, you ask? I'm doing my civic duty - I've been called for jury selection. This is the third time I've been called in the 13 years I've lived here while Bret's only been asked to phone in to see if he's needed, once.

Since I can't sew at the moment, I can at least think about sewing - so, I've added the Gum Drop Pillows to the sidebar. Now that (most) of my fabric is in, this will be my next project! And since there is no big project to share today, here's a few links for you!

The fall 2007 Pantone color report is out!

If you don't knit, but have always wanted a sweater purse, Totally Stitchin' has a tutorial for you (why didn't I ever think of that?)! [link via Craft Gossip]

Video tutorial (in Japanese) on how to make your own star shaped bows. [link via Craft]

Contest: Create a business card and win $350 worth of glass prizes (I love the fish on the top row)!

Ack. I've never been called, can you believe that? And I've been a registered voter since I was 18!!

My dad gets called tho...and ALWAYS gets picked because he's so nice & thoughtful.

So be opinionated and bitchy!! LOL :D

Stacy,
I came across the Japanese star shaped bows this morning, that is such a coincidence! I played the video for my husband, and his only comment was, "Where do you find this stuff??" I have so much ribbon around that I definitely plan to make some of these. I think I'll make a little stand with 3 nails to work on though, seems easier than fingers.

Hope your trial is a short one or they pick someone else!!! Yikes!

I have this pillow pattern sitting on my desk too. I have plans to make one after "the work two jobs madness" is over. (2 1/2 more weeks). I can't wait to hear your thought and info on this project.
